Casa Maitén — Yerba mate café
maitén
A room worth staying in.scroll ↓
Mate is not a drink.
It is a way of paying attention.
We treat yerba mate the way specialty cafés have learned to treat matcha — with patience, precision, and a room worth sitting in. No cans. No claims. No performance. Just a single leaf, prepared with care.
02 — The Signature
Dulce de Leche
Mate Latte
Thoughtfully selected mate, steamed milk, a slow thread of dulce de leche. Our first and quietest argument for staying a while.

Concrete, plaster, wood, and light.
Somewhere between a gallery and a living room. Handmade ceramics, brushed steel, a long table for strangers. Come to work, to read, to talk, or to do nothing in particular — and stay longer than you planned.

05 — The Name
Named for
a tree.
The maitén grows in the south of the Andes — unhurried, evergreen, generous with shade. We borrowed its temperament more than its image: weight, calm, and the sense that some things are worth waiting under.
06 — Visit
Our first café opens in 2026.
One room, to begin with. Leave your email and we'll tell you where, and when — nothing more often than that.
